I was drawn to this photograph by the three striking colors of Royal Poinciana blossoms sharing one canopy. Among them hang the mature seed pods which are reminders of what has already bloomed and the seeds of what comes next. To me, it felt like Cayman itself: vibrant, rooted, and constantly carrying forward through generations.

The palm crowning this poinciana and the layering foliage featuring multiple other local species is what creates the magic in this scene; a Caymanian cascade of colour.

Three Poinciana blossoms, each displaying its own combination of color, pattern, and form. Placed side by side, their differences become as striking as their similarities—from deep red and orange to brilliant gold, each bloom reveals a different expression of the same remarkable tree.
