What drew me to this cluster was the story unfolding within it. Buds waiting to open sit alongside vibrant blooms, fading petals, and flowers that have already begun to fall away. Each stage is different, yet together they form the beauty of the Poinciana. Rather than capturing only the tree at its most perfect moment, I wanted to show that its beauty exists in every stage—from beginning to bloom, and even as the flowers begin to fade.

Three Poinciana blossoms, each displaying its own combination of color, pattern, and form. Placed side by side, their differences become as striking as their similarities—from deep red and orange to brilliant gold, each bloom reveals a different expression of the same remarkable tree.

The palm crowning this poinciana and the layering foliage featuring multiple other local species is what creates the magic in this scene; a Caymanian cascade of colour.
